An honor to share the stage with Reps Mark Pocan & Gwen Moore, along with several other Wisconsin progressive leaders
We live in such a great city! Madison’s independent progressive paper, The Cap Times, has been telling our story for one hundred years. This weekend, they are doing something exciting to celebrate their centennial.
The Cap Times is hosting their first ever Ideas Fest – a fun opportunity for our community to come together on the UW-Madison campus to reflect on where our city, state and nation are, how we got here and where we are going.
I am honored to be invited to speak on a panel at the Ideas Fest, along with US Representatives Gwen Moore and Mork Pocan, to discuss “What’s next for progressives in the age of Trump.”
Here is the full line-up of the panel:
Maurice Cheeks, City of Madison
Gwen Moore, U.S. House of Representatives
Mark Pocan, U.S. House of Representatives
Matt Rothschild, Wisconsin Democracy Campaign
Katrina Shankland, Wisconsin Assembly
Moderator: John Nichols, Cap Times
In anticipation of this great event, Congressman Pocan and I put our heads together to co-author an op-ed that begins to answer this exact question of: Where do progressives go from here?
